Perform pre-analytical tasks including receipt, qualification, and preparation of samples.
Recognize equipment malfunctions and technical problems, resolving them appropriately.
Operate equipment according to established protocols and quality control limits.
Maintain departmental supplies within established inventory levels.
Report unusual test results promptly to appropriate management.
Conduct CLIA waived tests and moderate/high complexity testing on various samples.
Maintain knowledge of all current SOPs.
Utilize automated/semi-automated methods with internal support systems.
Communicate effectively with department and laboratory personnel.
Perform laboratory testing assigned to the department.
Prepare and maintain reports/records and perform computer data entry.
