Monitor supplier performance for the division in conjunction with the Group Quality Team. Carry out supplier reviews informed by the process.
Provide accurate and concise information to the Head of Electrical Procurement to inform strategic decision making.
Lead scheduled procurement meetings with project teams on key projects: Develop project specific procurement strategies, ensure quality, cost and delivery targets are met and monitor supplier performance.
Lead continuous improvement of SAP ERP based procurement.
Mentor procurement team members.
Identify and develop department and interdepartmental process improvements in conjunction with key Group stakeholders.
Lead the procurement of key projects both domestic & international, through sourcing, negotiation, pricing, technical compliance, and supplier selection, leveraging volume discounts and long-term partnerships while managing risks associated with supply continuity.
Preparation of project and division procurement reports.
Inform, implement, and lead the ESG development of the division in conjunction with The Group ESG Leads.
Develop strategic domestic & international supply chains to support key projects. Evaluate supplier capabilities and make recommendations for supplier selection according to our supplier qualification process and strategy.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, conducting business reviews, negotiating framework and rebate agreements, and ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.
Ensure compliance within the division with our quality procedures.

Knowledge of / experience in the construction industry required.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a purchasing role.
Excellent IT skills essential - knowledge of SAP would be advantageous.
Relevant 3rd level qualification - IIPMM or equivalent preferred.
Ability to manage a team.
Engineering experienced candidate advantageous
