TBM Mechanic Supervisor
Webuild
Leading global constructor of large-scale sustainable mobility, hydropower, water and green‑building projects.
Supervises mechanical maintenance and operations of tunnel boring machines.
Support shift planning, resource allocation, and workforce scheduling to meet project milestones.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical failures to minimize machine downtime.
Attending trainings in the TBM supplier factory
Liaise with equipment suppliers, vendors, and project management regarding spare parts and technical issues.
Collaborate with engineering, electrical, and operations teams to ensure smooth integration of TBM activities.
Support planning unloading, assembly and disassembly and commissioning of the tunneling machines
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, conducting toolbox talks and safety inspections.
Supervise day-to-day mechanical activities of the TBM and support equipment, ensuring work is executed safely and according to schedule.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, parts usage, and mechanical performance.
Perform, oversee, and coordinate preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance of TBM systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, conveyor, and cutterhead systems.
Lead and mentor a team of TBM mechanics, fitters, and technicians.
Supervise installation of the conveyor belts and other supporting facilities for the tunneling operations
Prepare maintenance plan for TBM and other equipment needed
Report daily progress, issues and recommendations to Plant Manager/Management

Excellent communication and reporting skills.
10+ years of mechanical experience on TBM projects or large-scale tunneling/construction equipment.
Diploma, trade certification, or equivalent experience in mechanical maintenance, heavy equipment, or industrial systems.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
Proven ability to manage, train, and motivate a team in a fast-paced, shift-based environment.
Skilled in troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns under high-pressure environments.
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
Strong knowledge of TBM systems (cutterhead, EPB systems, conveyors, hydraulic & lubrication systems).
Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and efficiency.
