- Restock supplies when received so supplies are available to employees when needed.
- Interact with Project Managers and clients appropriately and professionally.
- Dispose of samples according to guidelines on a monthly basis to remain in compliance with Environmental Protection Agency and Environmental Health & Safety requirements.
- Maintain the shipping/receiving area to ensure a safe work environment.
- Verify that samples are not broken or damaged.
- Count the number of samples when receiving them from clients to make sure that the Chain of Custody and samples match.
- Receive and sign the Chain of Custody.
- Ensure that client signs, dates, and records time on the Chain of Custody when releasing samples.
- Receive, log in and label samples, and bottle orders for sign-in and analysis.
- Label samples after log in on an as needed basis.
- Sample compositing - combining of samples ahead of analytical testing
- Incremental Sampling Method (ISM) – utilizing the precise method of sample preparation to adhere to the guidelines required for this technique
- Inspect samples for damage or violated hold times to maintain sample integrity.
- Communicate effectively with the couriers.
- Perform on-site sampling events as needed.
- Homogenization – mixing of samples ahead of analytical testing
