- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals.
- Lead design efforts for the analysis of Civil Engineering Projects; Utilize engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and IMEG standards.
- Prepare grading and stormwater designs for commercial, industrial, and residential site plans.
- Prioritize safety and regulatory compliance in all aspects of engineering work; Interpret state and local design criteria and apply it to the specific project needs.
- Work as part of a project team to support the execution of consulting projects; Lead efforts in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling tasks to meet project deadlines and objectives; Document design decisions and instructions from clients while monitoring project design progress as related to percent complete and fee expended.
- Interact with clients to understand their needs, gather project requirements, and communicate technical information effectively; Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Civil Engineering; Contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts within IMEG.
- Direct and train Civil Design Technicians to assist them in completing reports, exhibits, plans and specifications and permit applications as required by the project’s contractual scope.
- Provide in-process design reviews of Civil Engineering design, calculations, and specifications; Implement IMEG quality control processes to ensure that engineering designs and solutions meet IMEG quality standards, industry standards and client requirements.
- Analyze engineering problems and propose innovative solutions; Collaborate with senior engineers and consultants to develop practical and efficient solutions.

- Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong training and mentoring skills.
- 5 years of experience minimum required, 6 preferred, in the building design consulting industry.
- Proficiency of industry standard engineering software and tools, primarily Civil 3D.
- Proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Associates degree, or certificate, in utilizing Autodesk Civil 3D or equivalent software tools or engineering preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 15% with occasional overnight stays
- Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent required.
- Proficient with pipe networking and road corridors.
- 9 years of experience minimum required, 10 preferred, in the building design consulting or construction industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups.
