Self Storage Outside Sales Representative

Description

• Recommend products to customers, based on customers' needs and interests.
• Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
• Obtain credit information about prospective customers.
• Prepare sales contracts and order forms.
• Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support.
• Planning and organizing
• Negotiate details of contracts and payments.
• Monitor self-storage market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales.
• Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders.
• Train customers' employees to install and maintain products.
• Follow established administrative and clerical procedures.
• Provide customers with product samples and catalogs.
• Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, keeping sales records, and filing expense account reports.
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms.
• Aid the Self-Storage team while they prepare drawings, estimates, and bids that meet specific customer needs.
• Identify prospective customers by using established and innovative means.

Requirements

• Fluency in Spanish preferred
• Demonstrate extensive product and self-storage industry knowledge.
• Construction Industry or relevant experience preferred
• Occasional exposure to moving machinery or mechanical parts
• High school degree or equivalent required, College degree preferred
• 2-5 yr. previous self-storage industry experience preferred
• Valid Driver’s license
• 2-5 yr. previous sales experience required
• Intermediate computer skills
• Fluency in English required
