The Road Mechanic role supports this mission by performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing issues, and making advanced repairs on customer‑site equipment. Technicians work with aerial work platforms, construction tools, and, at specialty locations, large‑scale generators, pumps, HVAC, and oil‑&‑gas equipment.
Candidates should hold a high school diploma or GED, with trade‑school training preferred, and have 1–2 years of experience servicing diesel, heavy construction, or specialty line equipment. A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required, and a CDL may be needed in some locations.
The position demands physical stamina, including bending, squatting, lifting 50 lb or more, and working indoors or outdoors as required. Flexibility is essential as priorities can shift rapidly, and bilingual ability may be needed depending on the site.
