You will work on projects ranging from small rural sites to multi‑million‑pound schemes, covering both water and wastewater (Infrastructure and Non‑Infrastructure) under the CRU’s fourth regulatory control (RC4) period 2025‑2029. The position contributes to major frameworks such as the Uisce Éireann Growth & Development Programme, which supports Tier 1 contractors to increase water and wastewater capacity for social and economic growth, and the Uisce Éireann Engineering Services Provider Framework, delivering comprehensive engineering design services for capital investment programmes.
You will lead the development and integration of all MEICA design elements, ensuring coordination with civil and process engineering and alignment with client specifications, regulatory standards and operational requirements. You will forecast technical knowledge and resource needs to support bids, prepare proposals, scopes of work and fee estimates, and provide strategic input on innovation, sustainability and energy‑efficiency solutions. You will monitor project delivery within agreed scope, time, cost and quality parameters, and ensure compliance with quality, risk and financial management procedures. You will promote worker and workplace health and safety, guaranteeing staff competency, and you will build geographically diverse MEICA teams, overseeing recruitment, line management and staff development.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s Degree (NFQ Level 8) in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline, and a professional qualification such as Incorporated or Chartered Engineer. Extensive water and wastewater industry experience, including process safety familiarity, is required, as well as the ability to manage all stages of multi‑disciplinary projects from proposal through detailed design and construction support to client handover. Excellent communication skills and the ability to represent AECOM with clients are essential.
