Element is hiring a Technician I for a seasonal position within its rapidly expanding operations team. The role is based in one of Element’s laboratories and involves performing routine and non‑routine testing assignments while ensuring timely and accurate results under direct supervision. Technicians must adhere to safety rules, the company code of conduct, and established policies and procedures.
The technician will conduct water and soil analyses, operate laboratory equipment such as ovens, balances, and centrifuges, and prepare and standardise reagents and solutions. They are responsible for the safe handling and storage of chemicals, calibration of glassware and instruments, and performing qualitative and quantitative tests in accordance with standard methods and ISO 17025 requirements. Additionally, the role includes issuing reports and coordinating sample exchange with relevant entities.
Candidates should hold a diploma or degree in chemistry and possess at least two years of comparable laboratory experience. The position requires the ability to work both collaboratively and independently, manage shifting schedules, and follow customer specifications without extensive supervision. Strong knowledge of safe equipment operation, task initiation, and the capacity to lift moderate loads are also essential.
