Supporting the Project Managers to deliver their program of works by providing accurate planning and scheduling of labour, equipment, and materials, as required;
Contributing to tender design development and providing feedback as to the commercial viability of design solutions;
Ensuring the Project Managers have clear concise documentation at contract commencement and assist (if required) in allocating bill of quantities for costing purposes;
Planning, coordinating and leading the estimating process to maximise success;
Analysing and commenting on proposed commercial terms of projects;
Attending, participating in and delivering tender reviews for senior management;
Reviewing schedules, cost estimates, and submission documentation;
Liaising with internal and external customers in order to formulate accurate and timely estimates and tender documentation including reviewing scopes of work, drawings, specifications, and other technical documents;
Leading the preparation of estimates and performing a leadership role in estimate reviews;
Identifying improvements to the tendering systems, including facilitating the improvement and upskilling of the team;
Being involved in post tender negotiation to secure work.

A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering;
Have a detailed knowledge of Australian construction and conditions and technical skills that inspire confidence from senior managers and clients;
Sound knowledge of first principles estimating for civil projects;
Be organised with a strong attention to detail;
Expertise in estimating software (P6 or Expert Estimation highly regarded);
A proven track record of delivering accurate and timely estimating for all facets of Civil and Mine Infrastructure works including state road and bridge projects;
