Tasks

-Collaborate effectively in multi-disciplinary teams with other ERM subject matter experts to integrate our different types of work and communicate our collective findings to a wide range of audiences. -Provide technical expertise to expand our water management services and client base in Canada and serve as a key member of the “core” technical team to drive growth in the areas of environmental impact assessment, permitting, risk assessment, water resources management and site closure. -Lead the preparation of technical documents in your field of expertise. Depending on the complexity of the work, this can range from hands-on interpretation to delegating work to junior staff and then serving as the senior technical reviewer. -Get involved in supporting organizations around the globe by collaborating with ERM’s international teams or through the efforts of the ERM Foundation -Contribute to business development in our global impact assessment and planning service area. Identify and develop new opportunities, prepare effective technical proposals, and take an active leadership role in developing new business with new and existing clients. -Capitalize on existing ERM client relationships to expand ERM’s profile and market share through excellence in technical delivery and business development. You will embrace the challenge of being a main point of contact for our clients and help deep relationships across multiple technical disciplines and service lines.

What You Bring

-15+ years of consulting experience in water resource management, impact assessment and permitting in the Mining Sector. Specifically, we are looking for expertise in hydrometeorology, water balance and/or geochemical modeling, and hydrologic modelling and modeling of environmental water quality. -Solid grasp of the key regulatory drivers within the mining and energy sector, as well as a high degree of technical competence and broad knowledge of impact assessment best practices. -Well-developed team building and influencing skills; unquestionable integrity; and the experience, confidence, and stature to effectively address client and business needs and challenges. -Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients. -Experienced people management leader. -P.Eng. or P.Geo with MSc/PhD in civil or environmental engineering or related field. -Strong English writing and presentation skills. -Recognized technical expertise by an established reputation in the marketplace, including positive reputation with key regulators relevant to environmental approvals. -Technical communities and Yammer engagement to help you interact with any ERMer globally
