Provider of specialty technical services across industrial, data center & infrastructure markets.
The EHS Coordinator II at Loenbro Industrial Services reports to the EHS Manager and is responsible for establishing a safety culture at assigned industrial sites. This role ensures compliance with internal EHS policies and external regulations, conducts regular audits, delivers training, and implements programs to reduce risks and maintain a safe, healthy environment for all employees.
Key responsibilities include delivering EHS training on emergency response, hazardous material handling, and equipment safety, as well as verifying that all employees, including new hires, possess required OSHA or MSHA certifications. The coordinator also organizes daily safety meetings, drills, and maintains comprehensive training records on site and within the KPA system.
The position enforces EHS policies by applying the Site Safety Plan, company guidelines, and applicable federal regulations such as OSHA and MSHA. It involves continuous monitoring through inspections—covering lockout‑tagout, permits, work habits, and construction sites—and leading incident investigations, documenting root causes, and managing corrective actions via KPA reporting tools.
Collaboration with operations is essential; the coordinator establishes clear communication channels with field staff and managers, works closely with customer safety teams, and promotes a culture where safety is integral to daily work. Daily site inspections, audits, and safety reporting provide critical data to site EHS and project management.
Additional duties include maintaining accurate EHS records, liaising with regulatory agencies during inspections, and driving continuous improvement by staying informed on industry best practices and emerging technologies. The role also supports the EHS management team with data gathering, analytics, and the creation of safety meeting topics.
Required qualifications include a Construction Site Safety Technician (CSST) or equivalent and OSHA 30 certification, with at least three years of experience in heavy industrial construction and a minimum of two years in a safety role. Candidates must demonstrate strong communication skills, hazard assessment ability, incident investigation expertise, familiarity with risk assessment methods like JSA or HAZOP, and proficiency in MS Office and safety management software. MSHA certification and First Aid/CPR certification are preferred.
Physical requirements involve the ability to climb stairs and ladders, stand and walk for extended periods, navigate difficult terrain such as trenches and elevated platforms, lift equipment weighing 1‑50 pounds, and hold a valid driver’s license with proof of insurability.
