Assist with environmental reporting data collection
Deliver HSE training (i.e. Hazard Assessment, New Employee Orientation, Respiratory Protection Program, Hearing Conservation Program, Waste Management and Contingency Planning ), as needed
Facilitate meetings as necessary (i.e. HSE Champion, Safety Week, and other meetings); take notes and publish them
Assist in reviewing and approving JHA’s, Risk Assessments, Lift Plans
Support maintenance of programs and record keeping systems that track and evaluate Legal, ISO, EPA, CDPHE, OSHA and Vestas Corporate compliance to established standards
Use and understand HSE databases and SharePoint sites, including the Vestas 3E SDS Database, Incident Management System (IMS), Vestas Process Portal (VPP), Vestas Online Documents (VOD)
Ensure routine inspections are conducted as required – i.e. fire suppression equipment, emergency lighting, emergency shower and eyewash units, first-aid supplies, hazardous waste, extraction unit inspections and any other applicable Life Safety device
Conduct facility audits and inspections to detect existing or potential hazards, determine corrective and preventative measures where indicated, and follow up to ensure measures have been implemented under the direction of a Professional II or HSE Specialist
Maintain Safety Data Sheet (SDS) files locally and via the SDS Database
Assist with HSE review of change management
Assist with action planning activities using incident, accident and hazard assessment data
Act as the Back-up Emergency Coordinator for facility to include Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response, Weather Emergencies, Fires, Shelter in Place
Assist with incident investigations, including root cause analysis, corrective and preventative action verification
Assist with the oversight of HSE Plans and Programs – i.e. Hazard Assessment; Emergency Response; Hazardous Waste; Incident Response etc.
Update HSE document, programs, procedures and policies as necessary – ensure alignment with the HSE Management System
Assist with creation of HSE communications and promotions for teams, supervisors and managers
Assist with incident tracking, reporting and follow-up
Assist in evaluating compliance with Vestas Restricted and Prohibited Substance procedure for new chemicals
Perform duties pertaining to factory compliance for local, state and federal regulations for handling, storage and disposal of hazardous materials & waste. NOTE: May arrange for disposal of liquid and solid wastes; maintains required records

OSHA 40-hour certification is strongly preferred
