Serve as a technical mentor and trainer for junior assemblers
Perform precision tasks such as ribbonizing, high-density connectorization, and testing.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to fiber routing, polarity, and continuity
Conduct IL/RL testing and visual inspection to ensure compliance with stringent quality standards
Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives within the fiber assembly cell
May be required to complete repetitive tasks
Assemble high-fiber-count cable products according to work instruction, verbal instruction, drawings, and/or diagrams using advanced tools, fixtures, and techniques
Attention to Detail - Ensure accuracy in work product, documentation, and processes to maintain high standards
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and planning teams to improve processes and resolve issues
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and adhere to all safety protocols
Interpret and execute complex work instructions, engineering drawings, and process documentation
Work is primarily performed on the manufacturing floor where noise levels may be moderate or high and hearing protection may have to be worn
The lifting of weights up to 30 pounds may occur regularly, with a potential for lifting weights of up to 45 pounds on an occasional basis

Previous testing, training and or quality inspection experience required
Eye and foot protection may have to be worn, other PPE may have to be worn depending on scope of work and exposure to hazards
Frequently required to walk throughout the production floor
Required to follow proper lifting techniques as provided during on-the-job safety training
Strong manual dexterity
Preferred proficiency with fiber handling tools, microscopes, and test equipment

High School education or equivalent
There is potential exposure to fluctuating temperatures and hot surfaces
Required use of hands to grasp and grip, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
This position requires 20% clerical and planning and 80% material handling, production assembly machine operations, and/or walking and assisting production employees
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a production environment required
