The Assistant Project Manager supports the Project Manager by administering, directing, and coordinating the activities of field supervisory personnel within the operations division. This role reports directly to the Project Manager and is accountable for ensuring seamless project execution.
Key responsibilities include distributing drawings and design revisions to the project team, assisting in the creation and implementation of standard operating procedures, and supporting the project closeout process. The Assistant Project Manager also acts as the company’s representative in owner negotiations, records and distributes meeting minutes, reports progress to the Project Manager, and performs basic estimating, take‑offs, and quote solicitation.
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related discipline, or possess an alternative degree combined with four years of Project Engineer experience. Required experience includes at least two years as a Project Engineer with construction management exposure, while four or more years is preferred. The position also demands a solid grasp of industry practices and strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.
