

Provides integrated industrial services including engineering, procurement, construction, and maintenance.
The technician will respond to on‑site and off‑site emergencies, conduct monthly inspections of fire extinguishers, alarms, and medical supplies, and perform weekly checks of fire, hazmat, spill response equipment and watercraft. Additional duties include annual testing of fire hydrants, hoses, Level A suits, SCBA compressors, supporting fire brigade training, hurricane preparation, and maintaining equipment readiness.
The role also involves generating reports, supporting plant outages and turnarounds, and attending various emergency response trainings. Brown & Root is an equal opportunity employer.
Brown and Root has an immediate opening for a Fire Safety Technician at the INEOS Aromatics site in Wando, SC. The role requires knowledge of fixed and mobile fire equipment, general fire service/emergency response, basic computer skills, Microsoft Office, and handheld scanners; familiarity with NFPA and SC Fire Code is a plus.
The position works 0600–1620 Monday‑Thursday with some overtime and weekends, pays $25‑$36 per hour, and requires a high school diploma (associate degree preferred). Preferred training includes ICS 100/200, First Aid/CPR/AED, and forklift operation.
