CDL Driver

Description

• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment:Constantly
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report defects, accidents or violations
• Adjusting, moving and lifting objects in all directions:Occasionally
• Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions

Requirements

• No recent moving or driving violations
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• Must be able to drive manual
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
• Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like:Rarely
• Talking and hearing to communicate with others:Constantly
• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods:Rarely
• Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, such as stooping, kneeling, or crouching:Occasionally
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc)
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers:Constantly
• Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds: Occasionally
• Seeing to perform job duties at close range, such as monitors or screens:Constantly
• Valid Class A driving license
• Medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds: Occasionally
• Heavy work that includes moving objects up to 100 pounds or more: Rarely
• The ability to travel regionally or nationally:Occasionally
• Proven work experience as a truck driver ( 1 years experience)
• Seeing to perform job duties at a distance, such as driving or operating equipment:Constantly
