Provide environmental leadership and mentoring in a site-based role, ensuring environmental obligations are maintained and compliance with relevant specifications and regulations.
Report to the SQE Manager and communicate with the broader team to advise of any issues that could be destructive to the environment
Conduct regular site inspection to ensure Environmental obligations are maintained
Read and interpret Development Approvals, Environmental Impact Statements and other relevant project information, then using relevant information to develop or modify project construction environmental management plan(s)
Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with the requirements of the relevant specifications, codes and standards, which form part of the contract and environmental legal obligations
Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure planned works comply with environmental management plan

Great knowledge of environmental legislation.
Previous experience or knowledge with field environmental monitoring techniques, including water quality testing and sampling, vegetation and weed identification, soil sampling and contamination management, nuisance (dust and noise) monitoring and data analysis.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering
Excellent communication skills
High level skills and experience in Erosion and Sediment Control.
A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in environmental management including experience in a site based role in construction, mining, or land rehabilitation.
