Applicants must hold a high school diploma or GED, with trade school or equivalent training preferred, and have 3–5 years of mechanic experience working with diesel, heavy construction, or specialty equipment. A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required, and a CDL may be needed in certain locations.
Mechanics may need to supply their own tools of trade and should possess knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems along with troubleshooting fundamentals. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment is essential, and bilingual ability (Spanish or other) may be required based on site needs.
The position involves physical demands such as bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more, both indoors and outdoors.
