  • Contribute to the firm’s strategic growth by identifying opportunities in emerging markets and new technologies in hydrometallurgy.
  • Provide technical leadership in hydrometallurgical process design, flowsheet development, and optimization across multiple commodities (e.g., copper, nickel, cobalt, gold, lithium, rare earths).
  • Review and approve process plant material balance, process design criteria, PFD’s, P&ID’s, plant layouts, technical specifications and technical evaluations.
  • Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and timely project outcomes.
  • Lead and review engineering deliverables for concept, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, pilot programs, plant design and detailed engineering.
  • Mentor and coach junior and intermediate metallurgists to develop the next generation of technical leaders.
  • Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation, client presentations, and participation in industry conferences.
  • Act as the primary technical contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships to ensure project success and repeat business.
  • Prepare operating cost evaluations.
  • Manage the resource planning and assignment of work to team members.

  • Experience in NI 43-101 reports is an asset.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in hydrometallurgy, with proven expertise in process development and plant operations.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities in a consulting environment.
  • Demonstrated success in client-facing roles, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Track record of contributing to business development and winning work.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or eligible for registration preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of extractive metallurgy unit operations, including leaching, solvent extraction, electrowinning, precipitation, and purification technologies.
  • Advanced degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline (PhD or Master’s preferred).
  • Experience with process simulation software (e.g. METSIM, HSC-Sim, OLI).
