Drive improvement in all aspects under their control, regards health, safety, environmental standards, technical and commercial standards including cost control, people and operational efficiencies and asset volume/throughputs.
Lead the site team/ supporting functions to ensure Commercial/Operational risks & Opportunities are identified and managed to deliver safe and profitable operation of the asset.
Ensure compliance with all relevant Statutory and Company SHE standards and regulations
Develop and maintain relationships with authorities (HSE, SEPA, DECC, Local Councils, Police & Fire Services) other terminals, including partners and local community representatives to demonstrate company commitment to, and compliance with regulations.
Ensure that consultation with both employee and Trade Union bodies takes place, as appropriate.
Ensure the competency of all your staff and maximise the capability across assets to ensure wider NSMP portfolio synergies are realized for the Teesside Gas Plant, px and the client.
Establish, own and deliver annual operating plans, quarterly reforecasts and associated third party budgets, in collaboration with the client manage the assets profit & loss accounts.
Leading safe and efficient delivery of the COMAH site and associated pipelines with full ownership of the safety, reliability, regulatory compliance and budget performance of TGPP.
Working with the client provide input to the long-term Strategy/Plan for the operation, commercial operations, project delivery, maintenance planning and development future new business to ensure the effective planning, execution and integration with activities on site.
Ensure effective and regular communication and reporting to px internally, client, third parties and other identified asset stakeholders.
Leadership, management, development and mentoring of site leadership team ensuring performance meets expectations and potential is developed. Lead union engagement representing px and the client in all union negotiations.
Be responsible for and provide overall direction, leadership, control & management of the operation of the Teesside Gas Processing Plant. Including site-controlled engineering projects.
Regularly manage the complexities and challenges associated with managing and motivating staff in a safety/ commercial and target driven / cultural / client / service contracts environment

Experience in the oil and gas or other related major hazard industries is a must.
Previous management of a multi-functional teams in a High Hazard setting. including managing performance & HR responsibilities:
Operated at senior management level in the same or equivalent industries
A degree in an appropriate management/ engineering degree or appropriate Business or Engineering qualification
The capability to coach or mentor others.
The capability to lead from the front when necessary but recognizes the power in listening and allowing the team to take accountability.
Experience in management of energy related and / or oil and gas assets
The ability to routinely deal with and embrace complexity, uncertainty and change in pursuit of their and the assets objectives.
Clarity about the moral and ethical standards required and uphold them without question
The ability to think at a strategic level whilst when necessary, able to bridge the strategic to tactical, grasping the details involved in managing day to day performance and aligning to the strategic outcomes required of the Teesside Gas Plant.
