As Team Manager and safeguarding lead you will ensure high performance and quality assurance of services, motivating and directing colleagues. You will lead a great team, supporting their growth and development.
You will work across Northumberland and North Tyneside delivering care services for customers with learning disabilities, helping them live their best life. A Registered Manager will support you in maintaining CQC compliance while you lead, manage and govern the team to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care.
You will foster innovation and an open, fair culture, ensuring team competence through observation, assessment, coaching and direction. As a subject‑matter expert you will develop and share knowledge, continually supporting your team to make the workplace great.
Key requirements: solid understanding of relevant regulatory policies and CQC fundamental standards; extensive partnership working experience and strong inter‑agency links in health and social care; excellent communication, IT and analytical skills. You need not drive but must work across services in both locations, and you will need an enhanced DBS (paid for by the employer).
The practical bits: hold a relevant professional registration and possess strong knowledge of CQC standards plus experience with complex needs; lead recruitment, induction and probation monitoring; coach and mentor staff; flexibly cover 24‑hour care including evenings, weekends and bank holidays; hold a valid driving licence and a business‑insured vehicle (mileage reimbursed).
Deputy Manager (CQC) – Tyneside and Northumberland. This is a permanent full‑time role (37.5 hours) with a salary of up to £28,890 per annum plus on‑call shift payments of £14.30 per session. The employer cannot offer a Certificate of Sponsorship for this position.
