The Role

Overview

Construct and maintain power distribution lines, respond to faults, ensure safe, reliable service.

Tasks

As a Lineworker you will be accountable for constructing and maintaining transmission and distribution networks. You'll respond quickly to faults to minimise disruptions, deliver high-quality work, and adapt to evolving industry standards. Working in various conditions, you'll plan and execute tasks safely and efficiently while maintaining positive customer interactions. -Attending and rectifying faults in a timely manner will ensure minimal loss of supply and less disruption to the customer. -Working in environmental elements to complete jobs subject to adequate safety and control measures being implemented. -Participating in pre-job planning to identify risks, hazards and task variables and control measures to ensure safe, reliable and affordable job completion. -Complete allocated construction and maintenance work to Western Power standards ensuring consistent quality across the network. -Maintaining and enhancing core Line skills with changing industry standards and business requirements.

What You Bring

-HOU and LOU Switching is highly regarded but not essential. -Certificate III in ESI - Power System Distribution Overhead or equivalent or -Or - New Zealand Electricity Supply (Distribution) Minimum Level 4. -Demonstrated industry experience in the construction and maintenance of the distribution electricity network. -Valid WA ‘HR' Class Drivers Licence.
