In this position you will manage a wide variety of difficult engineering assignments, especially the design of major road schemes such as large interchanges, directional and semi‑directional links, loops, and signalized intersection improvements. You will apply advanced engineering techniques, including CAE and CAD tools, primarily Bentley MicroStation and Autodesk Civil 3D, and coordinate with other infrastructure disciplines. Travel or relocation to supplier, client, or construction sites is expected.
You will independently develop and supervise the creation of engineering products that meet customer quality requirements, defining problems, establishing scope, preparing budgets and schedules, and providing technical direction. Deliverables may include detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and analyses. Additional responsibilities include supporting other engineering activities, guiding CAD designers and junior engineers, and potentially supervising subordinates.

Parsons is hiring a Senior Highway Design Engineer in Dubai, UAE, to lead a team tackling complex infrastructure challenges. The role focuses on large‑scale highway projects that shape community fabric, offering opportunities for advancement based on top performance. Candidates must be versatile, enthusiastic, and possess strong communication, analytical, and management skills.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering and has at least ten years of highway design experience with thorough knowledge of highway design software. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ACC BIM workflow, and Bentley MicroStation is required, along with solid written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to mentor and motivate junior engineers is also essential.
Experience with Dubai or UAE projects, especially those for the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), is preferred. Candidates should be prepared to meet any required clearance before starting.
- Minimum 10 years of highway design experience and a Bachelor’s in Civil or Transportation Engineering.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Bentley MicroStation; familiar with ACC BIM workflow.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and team‑leadership skills.
