The position is an international assignment lasting one year, after which the hire will relocate to a permanent role in Baton Rouge, LA. The role serves as Project Director for the development of a greenfield U.S. steel plant, requiring prior leadership on $200M+ capital projects, with experience on projects exceeding $1B strongly desired. Steel plant experience is strongly preferred, and candidates must be U.S. nationals or have at least ten years of U.S. capital project experience. An expatriate package for the family and relocation assistance to Baton Rouge are provided.
Candidates must bring over 25 years of relevant experience. An engineering degree is preferred, and a Professional Engineer (PE) license is considered a plus.
The minimum educational requirement is an engineering degree.
- Lead capital projects of $200M+; experience on projects over $1B preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership on large‑scale steel plant projects is strongly desired.
- Must be a U.S. national or have 10+ years of U.S. capital project experience.
- Minimum 25 years of relevant experience; engineering degree preferred; PE license a plus.
