Interfaces with legal counsel to support litigation for condemnations and provides expert court testimony.
Represents SRP at hearings before city councils, zoning commissions, and other state or federal governmental bodies.
Analyzes pending local, state and federal legislation pertaining to real estate or appraisal practices.
Analyzes complex engineering and land use plans and title reports.
Follows current USPAP Guidelines for all appraisals, appraisal reviews, and other services.
Manages retention programs for all appraisal documents according to SRP guidelines and as well as adheres to USPAP record keeping rules.
Reviews appraisals prepared by independent appraisers and submitted by agencies.
Prepares state-certified appraisals for real estate sales, leases, as well as for the acquisition of easements, rights-of-way, and land.

Must have current Arizona State certification as Arizona certified general real estate appraiser.
Additional coursework and designations from Appraisal Institute - MAI; ASA - American Society of Appraisers; International Right of Way Association - SR/WA; American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers - ARA; Certified Commercial Investment Manager - CCIM and/or other allied associations are preferred.
Ten years of appraisal experience preferred.
Actively involved in local real estate appraisal and real estate associations.
Experience with Cost, Sales Comparison, and Income Approaches to value. Applies cost estimation and depreciation programs within the cost approach, direct and yield capitalization methods, and discounted cash flow methodologies.
