The Lead Mechanical Engineer – Finite Element Modelling and Analysis role in Bangalore will oversee mechanical design and analysis of structural systems, develop finite element models, and deliver technical solutions that meet client requirements and international standards.
- Lead mechanical design and finite element analysis of structural systems.
- Perform fatigue, fracture, and structural integrity assessments to international standards.
- Create and validate FE models in ABAQUS or ANSYS from engineering drawings.
- Develop conceptual and detailed design packages, including optioneering and substantiation studies.
- Select equipment and materials, manage technical procurement, and review vendor drawings.
- Produce design definition, specifications, and stress reports for buildings and industrial structures.
- Conduct operational improvement and life‑extension studies.
- Prepare project proposals, scopes, schedules, and budget estimates for mechanical work.
- Mentor junior engineers and oversee QA review of analyses.

Ideal candidates will hold a Mechanical Engineering degree and possess 18‑22 years of experience in regulated sectors such as nuclear, power, or oil & gas, with proven expertise in FEM software, CAD tools, and international design codes.
The position requires strong project management skills, the ability to mentor junior engineers, and excellent communication for preparing detailed technical reports and supporting client design reviews.
- Hold a Mechanical Engineering degree (ME/BE, M.Tech/B.Tech or equivalent).
- Have 18‑22 years of experience in mechanical design and analysis in regulated industries.
- Proficient with FEM tools (ABAQUS, ANSYS, HyperMesh, NASTRAN) and CAD (CATIA v5, Creo).
- Knowledge of international codes (ASME, RCC‑M, BS EN standards) and nuclear/industrial regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects to time, cost, and quality targets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with experience preparing technical reports.
- Ability to work independently or within international teams and travel as needed.
- Chartered Engineer status or progress toward chartership.
