In the machine shop you will operate and set up manual and CNC equipment, interpret blueprints, perform first‑piece inspections, conduct routine maintenance, handle materials with cranes, deburr parts, and maintain accurate production records while meeting quality, safety and departmental targets.
- Operate manual and CNC machines to fabricate parts per specifications.
- Set up machines with tools, materials, and required computer parameters.
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to produce accurate components.
- Perform routine maintenance and report mechanical or electrical issues.
- Use overhead crane and material‑handling equipment to position workpieces safely.
- Conduct first‑piece inspections with measurement tools to verify quality.
- Keep detailed fabrication records and document corrective actions.
- Deburr metal parts using hand or power tools for downstream processing.
- Meet department targets while adhering to quality and safety standards.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Stand for all tasks with intermittent walking; frequently lift 5‑20 lb items, occasionally push/pull carts up to 1 000 lb.
- Walk moderate distances (<1 km) and carry items weighing 5‑20 lb.
- Frequently bend, crouch, and reach from above shoulders to below knees.

The position requires physical stamina for standing, walking, frequent lifting of 5‑20 lb items, occasional pushing or pulling of carts up to 1 000 lb, and full‑range motion for bending, crouching, reaching and handling parts.
- Minimum 1 year experience setting up and operating manual and CNC equipment.
- Proficient with hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as calipers.
- Strong knowledge of machine controls and programming for new job setups.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Capable of working independently to fulfill material requests.
- Effective written and verbal communication with production support teams.
- Basic computer skills for internal application use.
- Solid math skills for calculating quantities, weights, and measurements.
- Good interpersonal and organizational abilities to handle internal requests.
- Continuous handling of parts within the 5‑20 lb weight range.
- AI tools may be used in screening, assessment or selection processes.
