Site Civil Engineering Intern

Description

• Design site layout plans that meet client requirements and Woolpert standards.
• Develop concept, grading, and site designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Apply knowledge of hydrology and stormwater management to project tasks.
• Multi‑task, prioritize workflow and complete assignments on schedule.
• Collaborate with the project management team to identify impediments and implement solutions.
• Perform pavement assessments and compile associated data and reports.

Requirements

The firm is seeking an experienced Site Civil Engineer Intern for the Summer 2026 season (full‑time, 40 hours per week) in several U.S. offices, including Fairview Heights, IL; Indianapolis, IN; Cincinnati, OH; Columbus, OH; Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL; and Dayton, OH. Candidates must already have work authorization, as visa sponsorship is not available.

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Possess 0–2 years of related experience.
• Experience using Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Familiarity with hydraulics and hydrology (preferred).
• Ability to perform occasional field work and travel locally, regionally and overnight as needed.
