Utilizes Business Center software to update customer files, check for modeling errors and verify data
Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work
Diagnose, repair and calibrate robotic total stations
Pulls and prepares inventory in order to complete tasks
Ascends/descends with gradual or continuous progress by oneself, using both hands and feet and climbs up and down ladders and/or equipment
Regularly works outdoors around moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to weather extremes when working outside in conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity
Repair, clean and calibrate pipe lasers, conventional total stations and auto levels
Performs system testing with sample/live data and technology
Diagnose GPS receivers, data collector, radios, displays, and tablets issues and makes proper repair or component replacements
Occasionally lifts and moves materials and equipment up to 50 lbs.
Completes paperwork associated with repairs and ordering of parts using laptop and desk computers to do paperwork, study repairs, ordering, etc.
Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
Troubleshoot and repair electric masts
Load firmware and upgrade firmware on devices
Customer facing, discuss with customers status of products, repair cost, etc.
Works with other departments to ensure that customer’s needs are met

Ability to disassemble and repair various electronic systems related to machine technology and survey infrastructure products. Must be able to read and understand wiring diagrams
Knowledge of and ability to use, test benches and break out boxes to test devices
Excellent customer service skills
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Constant movement and use of hands, this position requires good manual dexterity
Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, dust, steam, high-pressure water and high speed rotating equipment
Ability to cut, grind, weld and solder
Ability to follow logical troubleshooting procedures
Working knowledge of components, to include, but not limited to; GPS receivers, data collectors, tablets, radios, optical prisms, pipe lasers, total stations, auto levels, sanders, and robotic total stations
Valid Driver’s License required
Strong computer skills and the ability to work in Microsoft Word, Excel, CAD, AGTEC, in addition to various warehouse and accounting programs
Ability to be self-starting and self-motivated
Exposure to high noise levels and body vibration
Works in extremely bright or inadequate lighting
Works in an enclosed and open vehicle or equipment
Strong organization and time management skills
Working technical knowledge of the afore mentioned components with the ability to diagnose, disassemble, repair, reassemble, and test repairs
Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
Certification in Electronic repair or optical repair preferred
Must be able to move objects, and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
Two years or more years of experience in related field preferred
Significant amount of time standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, stooping, and reaching
Verbal and written communication skills
Ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands in order to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects
High school diploma or equivalent and some college, or additional technical training, required; Degree in related field preferred
Be able to maneuver safely and work underneath equipment
Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment
Excellent work habits, accuracy, attention to detail, and quality of work
Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
Exposure to minor burns, cuts, bites, or stings
Works in confined work spaces, awkward positions, and high places
Strong electrical system experience. Ability to read and understand electrical system schematics, and troubleshoot
Knowledge of optical test ranges and methods
Frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
