Field Lab Technician (Seasonal)

A full‑service civil engineering firm delivering infrastructure systems like roads, water, utilities, and communities.
Field Laboratory Technician responsible for sampling, testing, and documenting materials for NMDOT statewide construction projects, with 3+ years' experience in soils, aggregates, concrete, and HMA/WMA testing.
Prepare and complete the appropriate Department accepted forms related to these activities. Maintain files for all laboratory documentation.
Perform all materials testing in accordance with TTCP test methods or as modified by the New Mexico Department of Transportation.
Work with clients in a professional manner
Ensure that all samples are taken for acceptance testing and submit results to the Project Manager in accordance with the Department’s Standard Specifications.

Field Laboratory Technicians must be experienced in and be able to apply the NMDOT’s minimum testing guidelines and test procedures, including but not limited to, soils and asphalt field laboratories. Field Laboratory Technicians performing testing for acceptance (including process control tests are used for acceptance as set forth in the New Mexico Department of Transportation Standard Specification for Highway and Bridge Construction) must be certified by the ACNM/NMDOT New Mexico Technician Training and Certification Program in soils, aggregates, concrete, HMA/WMA.

Must be able to sample and test in accordance with the Department’s Standard Specifications for the following materials: HMA/WMA, OGFC, Concrete, Soils and Aggregates.
