As a member of the Operations Team, the Senior Project Manager will report to the Director of Project Management. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the successful management of complex DG and commercial-scale solar projects from project early stage through final closeout.
They will be responsible for successfully managing each stage of the project including engineering and interconnection, ensuring projects are completed according to the approved plans, within the allotted schedule and budget, and successfully commissioned and closed.
- Engage external consultants as needed for due diligence, engineering, and permitting.
- Support project proposal efforts, ensuring that project bids are both competitive and feasible.
- Work with state, county, and local governments to obtain discretionary and non-discretionary permits necessary for construction mobilization.
- Work with internal teams to ensure engineering plans are developed per Owner or Customer technical specifications.
- Work with internal teams to ensure successful project construction and closing, communicating regularly with legal, engineering, and procurement.
- Manage and communicate project risks and mitigants to the Director of Project Management.
- Manage schedule and budget to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
- Support due diligence and negotiation efforts for project prior to contract execution.
- Manage portfolios of projects and provide accurate report outs on key metrics, implementing streamlined processes for large volume to improve efficiency.
- Create full project schedules which include development, interconnection, engineering, procurement, and construction activities from notice to proceed to project close-out and establish reasonable and achievable construction start and commercial operation dates.
- Serve as the Owner or Customer representative and carry out duties required by the Customer’s contract(s).
- Work with internal and external construction resources to ensure successful project construction with health, safety, quality, and the environment top of mind.
- Work with internal teams to ensure procurement and subcontracting efforts are carried out efficiently per project budget and schedule.

Required Work Experience
- Knowledge of Electrical code, electrical safety and best practices for electrical construction
- Scheduling application experience a plus (MS Project, Primavera).
- Understanding of construction methodologies and processes related to solar, BESS, and EV infrastructure projects for commercial , institutional, and utility customers
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and business development professionals.
- Knowledge of project management software and tools (Procore)
- NABCEP Certified
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Minimum of 5 years of Solar experience in a similar position.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to confidential mange customer relationships prior, during, and post construction build ( can you help me fine tune the wording)
- Knowledge of solar energy systems, including solar modules, inverters, racking systems, and associated electrical equipment.
- PMP Certified
- Knowledge of civil construction, stormwater management, foundation installation
- Facility with typical computer software (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Preferable is a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Project Management.
Benefits
The expected starting pay for this role is $128,000 USD. This range is an estimate and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Pattern’s compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees of all levels.
