In depth understanding of noise guidelines, noise modelling techniques, and calculations.
Strong practical problem-solving skills, paired with sound judgment and decision-making ability.
Demonstrated initiative, independent problem-solving methods/capabilities, exceptional coordination and consultation skills.
Ability to successfully meet schedules and control costs.
Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Acoustical, Civil, Architectural Acoustics Engineering or Environmental Engineering, or a related technical discipline, preferably with focus on acoustics, noise and/or vibration.
Demonstrated experience in acoustic design, environmental noise and vibration engineering and relevant testing instrument.
Good working knowledge of Building and Architectural acoustics disciplines (sound insulation, Reverberation times etc).
Corporate membership of the Institute of Acoustics (MIOA/FIOA).
Experience with SoundPLAN, CadnaA, NoiseMap, Odeon and Insul.
Ability to travel occasionally.
Exceptional attention to detail, with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
Advanced level Microsoft Excel and Word capabilities
Full, clean UK driving license.
An ability to work in a fast-paced consulting environment to provide practical solutions with minimal supervision, while multi-tasking in meeting deadlines.
Excellent communication skills.
Proven organizational capability, decision making and coordination skills while working on several projects.
