Work with various engineering teams to improve own levels of domain knowledge and subject matter expertise
Attending meetings with suppliers to help find solutions to issues with supplier documentation
Reviewing supplier documents, specifically legislation compliance reports, declarations of conformity, technical files, bills of materials, components, lists etc.
Provide technical guidance to other engineers and support the engineering management team in planning and controlling specialist activities
Communicating and promoting vacancies
Liaising with programme managers, engineering managers, technical authorities and engineers
Anticipating and providing reasonable adjustments as required
Supporting any existing employee who acquires a disability or long term health condition, enabling them to stay in work at least one activity that will make a difference for disabled people
Offering an interview to disabled people who meet the minimum criteria for the job
Peer review of contract documents such as requirements, technical compliance matrices, ITTs etc for legislative requirements

We are looking for an energetic and driven engineer with broad expertise, however of particular interest would be candidates from highly regulated industries such as marine, military, aerospace, nuclear or rail.

COSHH (hazardous substances)
Degree in Engineering
UK sole National
A working knowledge of ITAR/EAR
LOLER (lifting operations)
UK HASAWA 1974 (Health and Safety at Work Act)
UKCA / CE Marking
A working knowledge of WEEE
SC Cleared with no caveats
Understand the need for, and have awareness of, product safety and SHE
Where applicable suitable experience in addition to a lower qualification would be acceptable
A Working knowledge of some of the following:Def Stan 00-02 – Environmental SpecificationDef Stan 00-055 – Security ManagementDef Stan 00-250 – Human Factors IntegrationDef Stan 07-247 – Naval Engineering Standards
PUWER (equipment safety)
Experience in engineering – electrical, mechanical or electro-mechanical would be desirable
Previous experience/understanding of Legal Processes would be very desirable
Def Stan 00-250 – Human Factors Integration
Knowledge of process and/or governance processes and practices in the defence, maritime or highly regulated industry
