Fleet Mechanic Technician

Description

As the Fleet Mechanic Technician, you will perform repair work and maintenance for Company vehicles and equipment. This position will work on new builds and repairs to vehicles in the current fleet.

• Performs hydraulic maintenance including identifying issues, installing hoses/fitting, and plumbing.
• Performs tests on specific parts and systems to confirm proper mechanical function; ensures that all critical parts are examined.
• Troubleshoots mechanical problems, performs new builds in accordance to needs, makes repairs to truck beds.
• Wiring for operating systems of vehicle and all lights.
• Performs further tests to ensure repairs are completed correctly.
• Ensuring parts are ordered timely and inventory remains stocked.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and 100 lbs. occasionally.
• Excellent mechanical repair skills including ability to visually identify issues, ability to read manuals and work orders, and perform repairs in a timely fashion.
• Three to five years of related experience required.
• Welding background preferred for fabricating.
• Extensive knowledge of all aspects of vehicle repair including hydraulic repairs.
