  • Preparation and processing of Federal Section 404 and 401 Clean Water Act, Porter-Cologne Water Quality Control Act, and California Fish and Game 1602 permit applications;
  • May be opportunities to support fieldwork efforts such as aquatic resources delineations, habitat assessments, vegetation mapping, or other studies that inform project permitting.
  • Develop environmental compliance documents for projects in California that reflect a broad and comprehensive understanding of applicable federal, state, and local natural resource regulations;
  • Supporting Federal and State Endangered Species Act consultations, and CEQA/NEPA biological resources impact analyses;
  • Participating in meetings and phone calls with regulatory agencies;
  • Actively participate in multi-disciplinary teamwork with biologists, planners, landscape architects, restoration ecologists, and engineers.

  • Experience with state and federal environmental laws, specifically Section 401 and 404 of the Clean Water Act, Federal and State Endangered Species Act, and California Department of Fish and Game Code.
  • BA, BS, or MS in environmental science, biology, natural resources, or similar.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including providing clear direction and effective communication in meetings.
  • Familiarity with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and/or California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) environmental documents.
  • Valid California driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of environmental resources in California.
  • At least five (5) years of experience.
