Coordinate and mentor project staff, manage sub-consultants ensuring the accuracy and quality of work
Direct a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and planners in the preparation of design alternative studies, technical reports, intersection/interchange design studies, preliminary plans, among other preliminary design deliverables for transportation engineering and planning projects
Perform and guide conceptual geometric design of roadway corridor alternatives with ranging complexity, within urban, suburban and rural settings
Occasional travel to project sites or for project meetings required
Manage and maintain project documentation, including meeting project schedules, budgets, and scope
Assist with the development of statements of interest, proposals, and project scope and budget documents
Organize and chair client and project stakeholder meetings

Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Basic understanding of multi-disciplinary roadway design delivery including traffic operations analysis, structural design, traffic staging during construction, drainage design, cost estimation, among others relative to preliminary design delivery
Experience with preliminary geometric design of roadways for IDOT (Phase I) and the Illinois Tollway (Master Plan/Concept Phase); Preliminary Design experience with CCDOTH, CDOT, among other Illinois county and municipal client agencies beneficial as well
Proficiency in Microstation and OpenRoads designer (preferred)
BSCE is required.
8 + years’ experience delivering or leading preliminary design phase projects
IL PE is required.
