As a system‑level leader, the VP of Operations will supervise more than 40 Site Leaders, the Director of Operations, and corporate functions such as Procurement, Marketing & Sales, Capital Development, and Human Resources & Labour Relations. The position is responsible for shaping organizational strategy, driving innovation, and maintaining Park Place’s position as a leader in seniors care across multiple provinces.
Key responsibilities include strategic operational planning, performance management, and execution aligned with the company’s long‑term direction, as well as organization‑wide oversight to guarantee high‑quality, resident‑centred service delivery. The VP will lead multidisciplinary teams, develop and monitor the strategic operational plan, set performance measures that balance mission outcomes with business results, and champion innovation initiatives that improve resident experience and sustainability.
The role also encompasses labour‑relations leadership, compliance with collective agreements and regulatory frameworks, and active engagement with health authorities, government partners, and industry stakeholders. Additionally, the VP will develop internal talent pipelines, succession plans, and leadership capability throughout the organization.
Qualified candidates hold a Master’s degree (required) and a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with at least 10 years of progressive senior leadership experience in large, complex, multi‑team environments, preferably within healthcare or seniors‑care. They must demonstrate strong financial acumen, strategic planning, evidence‑based decision‑making, exceptional communication, and the ability to lead change, manage risk, and motivate diverse teams. High‑level proficiency with Microsoft Office, willingness to travel domestically (minimum 15%), and flexibility for extended hours are also required, with a preference for Vancouver‑area residents.
This role offers a rare opportunity to shape the operational direction of a respected Canadian seniors‑care provider, influencing thousands of residents, families, and staff through visionary leadership and meaningful innovation.
