Lead Security Design Engineer

Description

• Lead design and engineering of physical security systems (CCTV, access control, perimeter detection, intrusion alarms).
• Create security specifications, schematics, technical drawings, and bills of materials.
• Conduct Security Threat and Risk Assessments and apply CPTED principles.
• Perform camera coverage studies to optimize surveillance placement.
• Ensure all designs comply with MOI regulations and HCIS standards.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, architects, and clients to integrate security solutions.
• Review and approve vendor submittals and engineering drawings.
• Provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from concept to commissioning.
• Stay current on emerging security technologies and industry standards (ASIS, ISO, UL).

Requirements

The candidate must possess proven expertise in designing complex physical security systems, deep knowledge of physical security principles, risk management, and CPTED, and a strong understanding of MOI regulations and HCIS standards. Proficiency with design tools like AutoCAD and camera coverage software, excellent technical communication skills, and fluency in English (Arabic a plus) are required.

Desired qualifications include at least ten years of experience, familiarity with Revit, HCIS certification, experience with Vehicle Dynamic Assessment, and knowledge of international security standards such as ASIS, ISO, and UL. The ideal candidate has a track record of managing security design projects from conception to completion and can troubleshoot technical challenges in a fast‑paced environment.
