Description

Working with commercial chain accounts, this position is responsible for the maintenance of grease traps typically located inside restaurants and supermarkets. Responsibilities include locating and uncovering traps in various areas, diagnosing problems, pumping grease out, and ensuring traps are fully operational.

• Communicate effectively between customers and Wind River Environmental.
• Inspect grease trap buildup and hazards.
• Prepare service trucks and tools for each job to maximize efficiency.
• Drive to and from job sites while complying with traffic laws.
• Remove grease buildup from commercial kitchen grease trap systems, both indoor and outdoor.
• Complete and submit quotes and service paperwork promptly.
• Respond to trouble or emergency calls in a timely manner.
• Follow Wind River Environmental service protocols.
• Work overtime, including weekends and holidays, and participate in on‑call rotations.
• Comply with FMCSA and DOT regulations and practice safe work methods.
• Read and interpret policies, safety rules, maintenance instructions, maps, and road signs.

Requirements

The work environment includes regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions, non‑hazardous fumes and noise. Employees must be comfortable working independently and interacting with customers.

• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Communicate clearly with customers, co‑workers, and management.
• Work independently and manage pressure to meet deadlines.
• Use basic computer applications, email, and internet.
• Perform basic math calculations.
• Hold a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Have at least one year of professional commercial driving experience.
• Pass DOT drug screen, medical certification, physical exam, and road tests.
• Possess a high‑school diploma or GED.

The base pay range for this role is estimated at $23.00‑$24.00 hourly at the time of posting, with final compensation determined by factors such as location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
