What you would be doing

May provide guidance to level I and II contract administrators.
Prepare and submit accurate grant applications and all related documentation.
Maintain organized records of all grant-related materials.
Identify and evaluate available funding opportunities.
Communicate clearly and effectively across departments to ensure compliance with funding guidelines.
Coordinates and provides review, administration and/or compliance activities for industrial, commercial and/or government (federal, state and local) as listed above for complex contracts that may require more coordination with multiple entities, requiring further legal reviews, etc.
May assist in the negotiation of terms and conditions with clients.
Research and interpret California State regulations related to school facility funding.
Prepare and/or support preparation of expense reports for auditors.
Analyze problems and propose solutions related to funding and regulatory requirements.
Responsible for setting own project deadlines.
Work with IT staff to define data requirements and support grant tracking systems.
May provide recommendations regarding outsourcing requirements.
Collaborate with internal teams, attorneys, CPAs, and administrative agencies to gather required information.

Minimum 5 years of experience with California state funding programs.
BA/BS + 6 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Understanding of financial and project management software systems.
Deep understanding of public school facility program regulations and public construction requirements.
Solid excel and spreadsheet experience
Familiarity with coding concepts and database structures.
Knowledge of eligibility establishment and update.
Familiarity with OPSC and CDE online systems.
Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized and detail oriented.
