Must have knowledge of the requirements of erecting and maintaining traffic control signs and other devices as prescribed in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).
Must be able to pass a DOT Physical for a DOT Medical card (required).
Must be at least 18 years of age
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Must have the ability to work safely in traffic situations and follow the policies and procedures of the company.
Flagger/Traffic Control Training Certification (preferred).
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Driving License (required) along with a driving record that meets company safety guidelines to operate a company vehicle (required).
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Must maintain a good attitude and be polite at all times to motorists.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Must be able to carry out detailed instructions, setting up and removing traffic control devices, but also must be able to use good judgement in decision making and be able to work without direct supervision.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
