Description

• Assist in preparing designs for transportation projects, including roads, rail, storm/sanitary sewers, water mains and other infrastructure.
• Draft transportation plans, sections, and details for construction drawings.
• Design and edit drawings in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and MicroStation/OpenRoads as required.
• Identify property and utility relocation requirements for construction.
• Work closely with project managers, senior and intermediate engineers, and other team members to develop designs, reports, contract documentation and provide support.
• May be required to work on site as a Site Inspector during construction seasons, under a Contract Administrator.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university (required).
• 0–5 years of engineering experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply.
• Strong ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and clients.
• Experience or aptitude for meeting timelines and budgets, proposal writing, client development and other consulting engineering skills.
• Proven capability in writing reports and other technical documents.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Superior oral and written English communication skills.
• Ability to provide personal transportation to site if necessary.
