- Create and review technical documents (functional design specifications, project design basis, analysis reports etc.) for existing or new technology or applications.
- Independently develops solutions to problems by analyzing, interpreting and evaluating data.
- Coordinates engineering activities on tenders and project execution
- Use sound engineering judgment, classical hand calculations and analysis programs (FEA) to analyze designs and generate new designs.
- Responsible for quality and on-time-delivery of assigned tasks
- Review and interpret customer technical specifications and industry codes (DNV / ASME BPV Sec VIII / API RP 2A)
- Preparation of Weight control report, Material take off & Planning BOM (Bill of material)
- Manage to handle drawings / documents within PLM tools (Team center)

- Proficient in Non-Linear analysis
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant industry experience with background in design / analyzing subsea/surface (Offshore) equipment preferred.
- Proficient in Static Structural analysis
- Ansys / Abaqus tool knowledge
- Experience with welded and bolted structure design
- Possess good understanding on engineering fundamentals with respect to structural design.
- Must be able to verify and substantiate FEA results with classical hand calculation methods.
- Must be able to estimate, plan and meet individual work requirements.
- Should be able to perform technical design reviews and recommend improvements.
- Knowledge on pressure containment equipment design (Pressure Vessel design)
- BE or MTech in Mechanical Engineering
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of industry specific design codes like ASME, API, DNV, NORSK and ISO
