- Monitoring abatement activities: Under the guidance of senior personnel, observing asbestos abatement projects to ensure contractors follow safety protocols and comply with all applicable regulations.
- Sampling plan implementation: Assisting in the execution of sampling plans designed to evaluate potential asbestos exposure levels.
- Lead Inspection / Risk Assessor certifications (from EPA and/or MA).
- Data organization: Compiling and organizing collected data for inclusion in reports.
- Sample collection: Following established procedures to collect bulk samples of materials for laboratory analysis, adhering to strict chain of custody protocols.
- Conducting surveys: Participating in site inspections to identify and evaluate the presence and condition of known or suspected ACMs in various facilities, including residential and commercial buildings.
- Air sampling: Conducting air monitoring during abatement activities to assess potential airborne asbestos fiber concentrations.
- Visual inspections: Performing visual inspections of work areas during and after abatement to ensure thorough removal and proper containment.
- Documentation: Diligent record-keeping, including detailed field notes, photographs of site conditions, and accurate recording of survey data on approved forms.

- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, especially with air sampling methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, EHS, Safety Management, or a related field; recent graduates are encouraged to apply!
- Experience working in Heavy Industrial environment(s).
- Accredited Asbestos Inspector and/or Asbestos Project Monitor credential(s) in MA (via Mass DLS LAA).
- Proven ability to work independently or in a team environment while demonstrating strong character and dependability.
- Proven ability to demonstrate problem-solving skills, especially when working on a variety of projects while providing solutions to difficult issues.
- Experience working in construction.
- Excellent organizational skills, especially with a proven ability to work in an energetic and challenging work environment on a variety of projects; this person will be expected to demonstrate a self-motivated demeanor while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and software; this person will be expected to use MS-Office (e.g.: Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
- Exposure to working with EHS-related tasks (preferably with Industrial Hygiene and/or Environmental Remediation).
- Bachelor’s degree is a plus!
