Uphold Binnies’ reputation in all dealings with clients, suppliers, and the public.
Be aware of contract estimates, including settlement adjustments.
Contribute to identifying, reporting, and mitigating project risks.
Assist in subcontract procurement, including issuing tenders, bid assessments, negotiations, and preparation of subcontract documents.
Produce required notices and contractual correspondence.
Maintain an understanding of commercial procedures and reporting systems.
Support the implementation of project procurement plans aligned with agreed delivery strategies and timescales.
Assist in resolving non-complex commercial, contractual, and construction issues.
Support the management of subcontract work packages including documentation, negotiation, and assessment of variations.
Support safe working practices and corrective action plans where required.
Support the preparation of internal valuations (CVRs), forecasts, and cashflow projections to agreed deadlines.
Maintain knowledge of contractual, commercial, procurement, and financial matters.
Support the preparation of payment applications to maximise contractual entitlements.
Support the pursuit of all valid variations, claims, and entitlements through to final account settlement.
Understand and interpret the obligations, responsibilities, and liabilities of all contracting parties.

Experience within the water or utilities sector is desirable.
Understanding of construction and water/wastewater treatment processes.
Detailed knowledge of contract responsibilities (NEC knowledge desirable).
Proficient in MS Office and other software tools.
Ability to work collaboratively within a wider project team and meet deadlines.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
Working towards a Degree/Qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management, or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated ability to manage core QS responsibilities independently.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a Quantity Surveying role.
Working towards professional accreditation (RICS / CICES or equivalent) – Desirable.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
