Prep Foreman- Libs Paving

Description

• Follows direction by Libs Paving Management team and Superintendent.
• Takes necessary precautions to ensure job is being done in the safest manner possible. Is mindful of their personal safety as well as safety of team members and customers.
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to determine work requirements.
• Inspects work site for potential hazards or safety concerns.
• Ensures site safety by installing barricades, as necessary.
• Directly supervises and coordinates the activities of crew members.
• Daily completes job reports completely using Pave Day after each job.
• Adheres to all safety rules established in the Libs Paving Safety Program.
• Identifies, verifies and reports any scheduling conflicts, needs or deficiencies with other crews and subcontractors with Superintendent.
• Follows all policies and procedures established by Libs Paving Co., Inc. and ensures policies and procedures are adhered to by crew members.
• Performs routine maintenance on equipment, such as checking fluid levels and making basic repairs
• Responsible for keeping truck interiors clean of debris while traveling to and from job sites.
• When driving company vehicles follows proper daily checklist and inspection procedures while completing documentation of same as required.
• Safely and efficiently operates equipment to move materials, excavate, grade, and perform other tasks for asphalt paving prep.

Requirements

• Should be skilled in site work including road construction, excavation, backfilling, compaction, grading, testing, and pipe installation.
• Must be available for continuing education and training on equipment operations.
• Effectively communicates with other team members with the ability to listen to other Team members’ ideas, suggestions, and concerns.
• Must be attention detail oriented when operating equipment to be aware of surroundings and the various obstacles that may be encountered.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid CDL Class A driver’s license preferred.
• Must be skilled at operating skid steer, excavator, backhoe, bulldozer and grade tractor.
• Must be dependable with good to excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Must be able to withstand various climate conditions including extreme heat and humidity.
• Must be able to efficiently and safely secure equipment to trailer for transport to and from job sites.
• Has complete knowledge of installing and operating attachments to equipment as needed to complete a wide variety of tasks associated with paving jobs.
• Must pass drug test and keep COATS card valid.
• Must be able to withstand high noise level environments.
• Must be able to regularly lift up to 75lbs.
• Construction industry experience knowledge or training preferred.
• Maintains a high level of discipline and professionalism as a representative of Libs Paving Co.
