Works with negotiations, Legal and Risk on contracts as defined by the Procurement Manager and per policy and limits of authority
Ensures availability of the inventory levels for materials in the warehouse
Prepares timely reporting for Procurement Manager
Is responsible for ensuring correct vendor management within the policies of Procurement and the SSO with regard to vendor creation, payment terms, and certificates of insurance (Risk management)
Expedites the timely delivery materials that were requested to the warehouse
Meet or exceed company safety standards
Creates new vendor requests as per policy
Executes RFQs and RFPs to vendors as needed
Expedites work flows to ensure timely payment to vendors
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment
Places Purchase Orders for replenishment and/or planned consumption of materials under agreement
Provides tracking to end-users on status of purchase orders
Adhere to all CEMEX, OSHA, and MSHA rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
Works with vendors to arrange orders and ensures vendor performance and delivery

3-5 years previous experience in Purchasing / Operational area
Solid understanding of Procurement and administrative processes

Capable of handling and processing large amounts of information
Solid understanding of accounting concepts
