Serve as the primary contact for leaders and employees regarding all HR matters such as payroll, policies, and benefits, while balancing the needs of the business and being a champion for employees.
Ensure compliance with HR procedures such as maintaining accurate personnel files, conducting regular audits, and legal compliance.
Maintain strong business partner relationships with Operations Leaders and Employees including hosting 1:1s with leaders and availability sessions for employees.
Lead an effective new hire onboarding/orientation program including preparation of orientation materials, technology setup, setting performance expectations, conducting orientation sessions, etc.
Maintain working knowledge of state and federal labor laws and regulations.
Work closely with the Recruiting Team to ensure all hiring activities are compliant with company policies and Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) requirements.
Effectively manage the performance evaluation processes, acting as an advisor to leaders regarding any performance issues or concerns.
Partner with leaders to assist with personnel related issues, including but not limited to progressive discipline or leave management.
Support safety, continuous improvement, Lean Sigma, and 6S activities within the facility.
Facilitate employee training as required by Apogee’s Learning & Development Team and act as the liaison for training content.
Stay visible through plant floor walks and maintains an open-door policy.
Collect, maintain, and analyze metrics to identify trends, inform decision-making, and provide actionable insights.

Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5 years’ experience in a Human Resources Generalist or higher role.
Strong customer service orientation and positive approach and professional image.
