Develop and justify estimates to support budgeting for network upgrades and improvements multiple years in advance.
Support implementation and documentation of cybersecurity compliance with government requirements.
Perform regular network maintenance and upgrades including patches, service packs, and security configurations.
Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
Perform project oversight and follow of supplier design, supplier testing, and supplier procedure development.

Requires a security clearance; however, all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy security clearance is required.

Experience with any of the following is preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology or closely related degree from an accredited college or university.
Fourteen (14) or more years of completed education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years of experience requirements.
Network communication architecture
Demonstrated ability of effective written and oral communication skills and creative problem-solving capabilities is strongly desired.
Communicate extensively internally as well as with external customer and supplier personnel.
